BOSS Annual Event: Two-Day Milestone Edition
A Landmark Expansion for BOSS's Annual Gathering
This year marked a significant evolution for the BOSS (Bhanushali Overseas Support System) event — expanding for the first time into a full two-day format, reflecting the growing scale and depth of the community's engagement six years into the initiative.
Day 1 focused on foundations and inspiration: platform introductions (website, WhatsApp, Groups.io, NABS), an influencer keynote from Roshni Chellani, felicitation of the 2023 student batch, expert guidance on Ivy League prep and O1 visas, and a fireside chat with country representatives.
Day 2 shifted toward deeper student engagement and specialized expertise: a live Model United Nations (MUN) program tied to Viransh Bhanushali's Oxford journey, on-stage student felicitation with peer-led speeches, a mix of online and in-person guest sessions (Robert Adams, Dr. Rajeev B Sharma of TASA, Avani Rathore), a senior experience session from Gyan Foundation, and a closing dinner.
Key Differentiators of This Session:
- First-ever two-day format — signaling BOSS's growth from a single-session seminar into a full-fledged conference.
- Live MUN program — a new, interactive addition giving students a hands-on diplomacy/debate experience, not just a talk.
- Student-led felicitation speeches — honorees themselves took the stage to speak, adding a more personal, student-voice dimension.
- Blended online + in-person speaker format — expanding reach by including remote guests (Robert Adams, Avani Rathore) alongside in-person experts.
- Organizational milestone framing — explicit celebration of BOSS's 6-year journey, with dedicated OEF activity updates (Vali Sammelan, Protsahan, Bhanu ACE).
- Community-building close — ending Day 2 with a shared dinner, reinforcing relationship-building beyond the formal program.
Together, the two days moved from introducing and inspiring (Day 1) to engaging and honoring (Day 2) — reflecting a more mature, multi-dimensional approach to BOSS's mission of supporting students on their overseas education journey.
